(As an Amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I only review and recommend products that I truly believe in)
Does the Phlizon 600W LED plant grow light live up to the hype? In this review I will go over the pros and cons of the Phlizon 600W LED grow light. I will discuss the technical specs, light spectrum, and overall effectiveness in a grow tent set up. There are many things to take into consideration such as total power consumption, usable light output ( Lumens), light spectrum and so much more. Phlizon has been designing new styles of light fixtures including COB lights similar to the CREE COB light I reviewed in a previous article. In this review I will be discussing the Quantum style light fixture and let you know whether or not this is good for growing high quality cannabis.
Phlizon Grow Lights – What You Should Know
You will notice the Phlizon 600W light comes in two different versions. The newest ( and best ) version is the Quantum style board. Phlizon has continued to build LED grow lights and expand their operations while producing higher quality, longer lasting lights. This LED in particular has been growing in popularity due to the high quality and very affordable price tag. At the time of writing this review, it already has a 4.4/5 rating on Amazon from almost 500 customers! This light is perfect for a 2×2 tent, however its more common for people to use two of these lights to cover enough area for a 4×4 grow tent.

Phlizon 600W Distance From Plants
No matter what type of grow light you decide to use, its crucial to maintain the proper distance from your plants to ensure maximum light absorption while also avoiding heat stress or burning your plants. You will have to feel it out and adjust the lights accordingly but here is a general guideline to get you started.
Germination: 24-30″ above plants
Seedling: 24″ above plants
Vegging: 18-24″ above plants
Flowering: 18″ above plants
One way to check if your lights are at a good distance is to put your hand on top, wait for 10-15 seconds, and if its not too hot for your hand then its not too hot for the plants. Watch your plants leaves for signs of heat stress and raise the lights if you do notice anything.
3 Reasons Why You Should Buy The Phlizon 600W Grow Light!
Affordable: For what you get, this light is priced fairly. Compared to the competition you are getting a great value for the money you spend. I would say this one of the best values. Although you will find some lights cheaper, this seems to be a good middle ground. If this fits into your budget then I would recommend this light. If you have a larger budget and more to spend there may be options available. Click here to check the current price!
Ease of use: This light is very simple to set up and use. Everything about this light is very straight forward and easy to use – even for novice growers. The phlizon 600w is simply plug and play. Plug your light into a working 120v power source and you are good to go!Reliable and good warranty
Reliable: This light has a reputation for being very reliable for the price point. This is a good value for your money and if you run into any issues customer service is there to help with repair or replacement.
3 Reasons Why You Should NOT Buy This Grow Light
Light Output: This light emits enough light to grow your plants however other options out there can provide high intensity and more lumens per square foot. Overall it just doesn’t produce the same amount of wattage as your typical MH/ HPS bulb
Light spectrum: Although it’s still very much a useable light, I personally prefer the light spectrum you get from the MH/HPS combo like this one but you may get better value with this light.
Not Ideal for Large Grows: If you have a large grow tent or a big grow room in general you will need lots of these lights. For a small grow these are perfect. If you are doing a large scale grow I would suggest using something different.
Warranty and Reliability
This grow light in particular has a very low failure rate and has been known to be reliable. Even with a good reputation for being reliable Phlizon still offers a two year warranty for their products.
In addition, they also provide a 30 day money back guarantee where you can ask for a refund, and they’ll provide it with no questions asked! If you are not sure if this is the light for you, at least you can try it risk free!
Final Verdict and Overall Rating
The Phlizon 600 watt LED grow light is a decent grow light if you’re looking for an inexpensive grow light for seedlings and veg. It compares pretty well to other grow lights in the same price range.
If you’ve decided you want a grow light that’ll get you the maximum yield, I suggest taking a look at the high-end and mid-range grow lights on my home page. Those grow lights have considerably stronger and provide full spectrum lights. Overall, this grow light is a good value for your money and can be a great addition to your indoor grow room. I give it a rating of 4/5 stars.
